Maintenance Plan
Though short term therapy has been the cornerstone of the practice, I have come to realize that sometimes folks slip up.
Whether picking up cigarettes after quitting or reverting to negative behavior re: food choices or any other behavioral changes, it’s important to get back on track.
For this reason, we now have a new maintenance plan program. This program is designed to help you sustain your goals easier.
How Maintenance Plan Works
Group Classes
- If you have already attended a group class for smoking or weight loss, you will receive a $10 discount at any future class you attend. You must contact Hypnosis Counseling Center prior to class to be eligible.
- If you have already attended group class and would like to have an individual session, you will receive a $25 discount off the cost of the initial session.
Individual Sessions
- After you have completed hypnotherapy on a specific topic and want to continue on an ongoing basis on the same topic, you will be charged the amount of third session, currently $125, whether that is one to four times a year.
- If you come monthly, you will be charged $125 for each of the first four visits, with the fifth visit FREE.
- After you have completed hypnotherapy on a specific topic and want to work on another issue, you will receive a $25 discount on the initial session.
- All appointments must be scheduled in advance. All cancellations must be within 24 hours before the appointment or you will be charged for the appointment.

It has been just over two years since I began a regimen of visits to Barry Wolfson at his Flemington offices to pursue a progressive program of weight loss aided by Hypnosis.
At that time I weighed over 230 pounds, today I am pleased to report that I weigh 180 pounds; for those of you with rudimentary arithmetic skills, that’s a loss of 50 pounds.
It’s important to note, that I did nothing drastic. Did my diet change? Yes, but for the better, and I am enjoying my meals more now, because I know that I am eating what is good for me, and I avoid the bad things. I have been able to accomplish this with Barry’s help even during periods of extreme job related stress. I work for one of the largest global banks, need I say more? Many people eat poorly when under stress, but I have been able to avoid this. When I am hungry I am drawn to salads and vegetables. I eat when hungry and on MY schedule, not that of others. One of the major factors I can point to for my success is continuing what I refer to as a “maintenance program”; I continue to visit Barry every 4 or 5 weeks to “refresh” my subconscious. Doing so prevents me from sliding backwards. During the recent Holiday season, I continued to lose weight (4-5 pounds) even with all the temptations clearly put before me. I think this is clear evidence of the success one can achieve through Barry’s program, common sense, and a program of continued “maintenance”.

Jay Smith’s Story
Jay was a 2 pack a day smoker many years ago when cigarettes were about $3.25 per pack or $2,400 per year for him (Now 2 packs per day is $6,000). He would come to group classes and quit for about 2-3 months at a time. Then, he started seeing me individually and would stop for 4-6 months. He decided he would see me every 3 months and my charge was then $75 per session. He said at the time “I would rather spend $300 a yr. with you and remain smoke free than spend $2400 to kill myself”. Even though he’s been smoke free over 10 yrs, he still sees me every 3 months and is “grandfathered” at the old rate.
